Forward 48 Announces Spring 2024 Cohort and Diverse Faculty Lineup

Milwaukee, WI — Forward 48 is proud to announce the kickoff of its statewide cohort for spring 2024, comprising 100 participants from Milwaukee, Madison, Racine, Kenosha, and the New North region. This cohort will be guided by an esteemed faculty lineup that includes:

  • Jack Salzwedel, Chairman, American Family Insurance
  • Michelle Nettles, Chief People Officer, ManpowerGroup
  • Vincent Lyles, Executive Director, Milwaukee Succeeds
  • Peter Feigin, President, Milwaukee Bucks
  • Sumathi Thiyagarajan, Vice President, Milwaukee Bucks
  • Tim Sullivan, Carroll University, former CEO, Bucyrus & Gardner Denver
  • Dr. Timothy J. Fair, VP at Burlington in New Jersey
  • Dr. Bola Delano-Oriaran, Dean at St. Norbert College

Thelma A. Sias, Former VP at WE Energies and Founder & CEO of The Sias Group, emphasized the significance of the program, stating, “Forward 48 offers participants access to remarkable executives, the skills to navigate a diverse world, and a network to drive immediate change. Leadership isn’t just a badge of honor; it’s a legacy of hard work. No other program provides you with the history, network, and skills necessary for successful, transformative change.”

Barb LaMue, CEO of The New North Inc. expressed her enthusiasm for the program’s expansion into the New North, saying, “We’re thrilled to support leaders in our community as they form bonds with rising leaders from across the state to drive change. Forward 48 also brings an alumni network that can help us tackle the challenges facing northeastern Wisconsin.”

The addition of Dr. Timothy Fair represents a significant milestone for Forward 48, as he becomes the program’s first executive participant from outside Wisconsin. Dr. Fair, aged 35, brings a unique perspective as a Milwaukee native with both local and national experience.

The program will kick off on April 11th at Fiserv Forum, where participants will have the opportunity to hear from Peter Feigin, President of the Milwaukee Bucks, and Sumathi Thiyagarajan, Vice President of the Milwaukee Bucks. The event will also include an exclusive arena tour and networking session with past faculty leaders.

Applications for the program are now open, with the first session scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 2024, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Sessions will continue every Thursday thereafter through May 16.
